This Beautiful Church

The world is full of harsh ways

But this church is my safe place

The peace here always stays

Along with the smile on my face

With everything we say and do

The love we have will always show

Things may be different for you

But what it is to me, you should know

It doesn’t matter

What happens beyond these walls

Your life may shatter

But everything’s okay when you walk down these halls

You walk in that door

And you feel like you’re whole

Your feet touch this floor

And your heart will be full

You can cry here

And we will help you through

For each tear

A hand reaches out to you

We come to praise the lord

To feel the love he may spread

Release the demons we have stored

And hear the words he had said

But the bond here goes deep

And in certain ways we are the same

We all want something that isn’t cheap

Something inside, not money or fame

When we are going down hill

We can always pray

But if the pain won’t be still

We can listen to what each other say

This church was blessed with God’s grace

But also with each person that sits before me

Each one of you makes this a wonderful place

Anyone who walks through that door will see
