A God thing...People say that for a reason

On saturday I was talking to Kyndrick (My daughter Stephanie's boyfriend of three years) and he was telling me that he had gone on a day Mission trip to Indianapolis with a group from White River Christian Church. They went to the Lighthouse Mission to take some folks bowling. Just for a day of fun and fellowship.

Kyndrick has been feeling a little low Spiritually ever since he got back from College at the beginning of the Summer. Kyndrick had told Fred, who was the Pastor from WRCC who was with them that day, about how he had been feeling. He has even spoken to me of this before. It's uncommon for Kyndrick to feel this way, he has always been strong in his faith and I was concerned for him.

Anyway, they found some guys who wanted to go bowling with them, and these guys we all without homes and they relied on the Lighthouse Mission for things like hot meals and a place to wash their clothes. Yet, it seems this day one of them had a gift for Kyndrick. An unexpected and beautiful message.Kyndrick was surprised to find that all of them were already Christians. Before they left to go bowling one of them said, yeah, lets go, but first I have a message for HIM! (And pointed right at Kyndrick.) And then he said, "But it's private." Now, this man knew nothing of the conversation Kyndrick had with Fred. Yet he pulled him aside and told him that he wanted to make sure that he fully understood that God's love is real.  And that he must fight to keep his faith. He said that God has a plan for his life and he must stay close to Jesus always. Kyndrick was blown away. As Kyndrick was telling me this story I was thinking how proud of him I was for still going with the Group to Indy eventhough he was having doubts and I was thinking God would bless him for that. I had a strong feeling about this but I didn't say anything.

Three minutes later Mike called me and told me to tell Kyndrick to be ready, he was coming to pick him up and take him somewhere, he needed his help doing something. Now, Kyndrick has just recently joined a really good Christian Band. They are traveling all over the Country Glorifying the name of God. People come to Christ at their shows. This is an amazing opportunity for Kyndrick. But Kyndrick's guitar isn't quite up to the task. Sort of like Kyndricks heart, help was needed. Now, the reason Mike called was that God had put it on Mikes heart to help him get a new guitar. He took Kyndrick to the music store and loaned him the down payment for a brand new beautiful guitar. And he put the rest on his account so Kyndrick can pay it off in time. Kyndrick leaves for the East Coast on Friday with his new guitar and his faith uplifted substantially. I don't think anyone has ever done anything like that for him before. I love that Mike had such compassion for him and followed through with Gods prompting. Sometimes God moves so fast. It's so impressive to witness. I just wanted to share that story with you. Kyndrick told me I could. He was stunned by Mikes offer to help him out. And Mike had offered without being asked, he just knew. I am not telling you this to brag on Mike. I am telling you this as a reminder of Gods faithfulness. He loves us so much and keeps his eye on us and even when we have small hurts, he cares and he uses all things to bring together his plan.
