Good morning Friends. I don't have much to report on the Church other than the Structural Engineer is scheduled to come and look in our attic on Monday around
12:30. As soon as we know more, we will post it here to keep you informed. In the meantime, the Trustees, Ministry & Counsel, and Clerk John Chambers and myself will be meeting on Saturday morning to view an available Church for us to use during all of this process. Kay Hartley has graciously made available the old Cicero Christian Church located at 269 W. Jackson St., Cicero for us to Worship in. The Church is already equipped with pews along with a couple of side rooms for classes, nursery, etc. and will be available next Sunday (September 5th). The Church seats 125 people, so this should meet our needs during the interim if they approve of us moving there. Keep this meeting in your prayers. REMEMBER - our Church consists of all of us no matter where we gather to Worship! More information will be posted on this after Saturday morning's meeting. I have posted a sign on both the front and back doors of Hinkle notifying anyone who may show up this Sunday that services are cancelled. If any of you have anything to add, please feel free to post! We are all very interested in what is happening on this front!
Another couple of neat phone calls I received: We have been offered to move and store our pews during the renovation by Eagle Creek Friends Church! They have a large gymnasium that is seldom used and said we could store them there as long as we needed to. Another call came from Westfield Friends Church offering their Fellowship Hall and said they would help us if we would like to host a music night or any other function to serve as a fund raiser to help with our expenses on the building! Noblesville Friends also called and offered their facility for anything we need. It's just awesome to hear from all of these wonderful Friends who are reaching out to our congregation. Remember how God said He knows our needs before we do!!! This is certainly coming into play at this time!
