Prayer Meeting Yesterday

Thank you for praying yesterday as I met at Plainfield. The prayer meeting turned out to be different than I had been told. It orginally was to be the Superintendant, myself, and another Pastor. But, Steve had received calls from several people requesting time to come down and pray about the upcoming situation. Since that was his time slot, he invited them to come and pray with us. We had a wonderful time of worship, singing, then right into intercessory prayer. There were approximately 30 people in attendance from Churches all over the Western Yearly Meeting Area! Some drove from Illinois and southern Indiana to pray. It was refreshing to me to see young people there (late teens and early 20's) engaging in this important prayer time. I was taken back by their comittement and their heart felt prayers. Each door (and there are many) in the Yearly Meeting room was stationed with someone praying over it. Friends walked up and down the aisles and layed hands on the pews, the pulpit, and clerk's table, the musical instruments, then walked the grounds and prayed. The main focus of the intercessory prayer was to ask God to forgive us for allowing things to come in that shouldn't be here. Forgive us for sitting back and being silent, and cleanse us so that we can become the vessel to be used by Him. We all agreed that we needed to leave any "agendas" we might have or our "opinions" outside and just focus on God's Will. We can't be affect in intercessory prayer if we have agendas. I felt really good about all that happened yesterday and as a result, the Yearly Meeting Room will be open each afternoon and evening for anyone who would like to come down and pray!

Please help me continue to pray for these sessions. This lays so heavy on my heart! Anytime you come before the Lord in Prayer, I ask that you bring this matter before the throne.

Bob
