An off day - I thought

I was blown out of the water as I read the posts from Ty and Will. It goes to show how God uses simple things to speak to hearts. For the first time in a long time, I came home yesterday feeling as though I had done a terrible job trying to express myself in the message and also felt a little pressure knowing I needed to recognize new members. I guess the devil was beating me up making me feel like I was a total failure in delivering the sermon. I told my wife that this was one of my worst "off days" that I had experienced in a long time. Just couldn't seem to get my thoughts together. Then, this morning I read the posts from Ty and Will and realized that sometimes, whatever the Lord lays on my heart may be for only one or two people. Thanks guys for restoring my confidence in trusting the Lord and leaving it with Him. I'm glad that the words the Lord gave me helped both of you - lets me know that satan was defeated! I guess I tend to be a perfectionist and when it doesn't go the way I think it should, I tend to feel defeated. But God does use the simple things to get His message across. You both have no idea how much I needed to hear that from you - makes me lift my head a little higher today. God Bless!
