My new family

As I read the words from my new brothers & sisters at Hinkle Creek I feel so blessed. Everyone once in a while I think how it must feel to be adopted. To be brought into a new family with different ideas, and different views. A new identiy, a new name, a new opportunity and a new inheritance.

In so many ways I feel adopted, a new beginning. Even though I am still me, I still have my name, and the opportunity that was given to me over 2000 years ago is still with me and still have the promise of the inheritance of heaven. My adoption came in my heart.... love from others that have the same hunger to get closer to God and serve him have given me a new life, a new family.

I am so thankful for my church, my paster and his beautiful wife. The loving people that have started the journey to follow Jesus at different times. But we are coming together in so many ways to encourage and uplift each other. Our bible study is like the new famliy reunion every week to grow in this new adopted family.

I am so thankful for it all.....and its just the beginning.
