Feeling Loved

When I gave my life to the Lord I got down on my knees, put my hands together and asked him into my heart. After that I knew that I needed to find a church. I had a strong desire to know more about Jesus but I was scared and didn't know where to go.I worked at a pottery shop then and one day a lovely woman walked in through the front doors and said she was a Sunday School teacher and wanted to buy some praying hands for the children to paint. I asked her where she went to church and she told me all about her church and invited me to come with her on Sunday. The amazing thing was that when I asked Jesus into my heart I had been watching a local preacher on the television and that was the same church she attended. I felt like God had sent her straight to me. I tell you this story because it seems that when we are open to his love, God always opens doors for us. And it happens over and over again. This woman was such a blessing to me. Her name was Sarah and she was glowing with gods love. I think of her as an angel. The fact that she was so generous and loving toward me still touches my heart deeply when I think of it today. I needed to be apart of something, to feel welcomed and loved and that is exactly what I got. I think of Sarah often and how she was there for me that day when I needed her. It's made all the difference in my life. So thank you Sarah for your love and attention and thank you Jesus for knowing my heart and hearing my prayers. And thank you for being so patient with me and so faithful. I love you. Whenever I see praying hands I think of that day. I prayed and my prayers were answered and those praying hands made of clay were just sitting on the shelf. It's funny because I was always walking over to them and straightening them because they would always fall over. God is so AWESOME! His timing is perfect.
