Clarence Barker

It is almost noon on Saturday and I just finished the Church Bulletins for tomorrow and mentioned Clarence Barker and asking for prayer as he had been moved to Maple Park Nursing Facility suffering with liver cancer.  As soon as I got home, I received a call from Leota telling me that Clarence passed away just before noon today.  I felt an urge to go see him and talk to him about accepting Christ and being sure he was ready to go when the time came.  We had a good season of prayer and held my hand and asked Jesus into his heart and said he wanted it all!  What a glorious prayer meeting we had.  An hour after I went, he was transferred to the Nursing Home.  I know it was the Lord prompting me to go as He doesn't want to lose any of His children.  He death came quicker than they thought, but I believe the Lord wanted him while he was ready.  Let's all pray for Leota and the children during this loss to them.  I don't know the full details, but they are working toward a calling on Thursday evening and the funeral on Friday morning at Randall & Roberts on St. Rd. 32.  I'll post more when I know the details.
