Hello everyone! The wasp nest is GONE! Mike went to the church last night and removed it. He borrowed a bee keepers hood from a friend and had on gloves and long sleeves and did not get stung. He had wasp spray on a long stick and a dry wall scraper on another long stick. Being prepared and having the right tools being essential in a case like this. :)
So he used the foaming spray and it trapped the wasps in the nest. He said he could hear them buzzing around in there getting angry. So then standing on the second rung of the ladder he scraped the nest away from the soffett (is that the right word?) and he said it came loose and fell and hit the siding and bounced off the rim of the trash can waiting below and hit the concrete and busted open. So he scooped up the nest with the scraper and stomped on the wasps.
He said he missed the bottom rung of the ladder because he got a little excited when the nest cracked open. But he's okay. :)
I was at home sleeping.
