Friends What a beautiful week of weather that the Lord has blessed us with. Hopefully everyone is getting a chance to enjoy it. There were 105 families at the pantry yesterday including 8 new ones. They were assisted by 25 volunteers including some first timers. On Tuesday 18 volunteers came out to help stock shelves, pour laundry soap, label shelves and make family size portions out of some of our bulk donations. It really takes a lot of hands to make the pantry run each week. Thank you for everything you do to help others. Since it was "laundry soap week" each family got their detergent. In addition they received yogurt and their groceries and bread. We are EXTREMELY low on everything except snacks. We need canned green beans, corn, peas, mixed vegetables, cereal, pop tarts, sugar, crackers, jelly, diapers, toilet paper, ramon noodles. If each family would bring in just 1 can of something it would make a tremendous difference in someones life. The families come in for food but leave feeling someone cares for them and they are worthy of being hugged and prayed for. Don't forget to share fresh vegetables with others as they become ripe as well. Thank you for all of your donations. | |
