Westfield Chamber of Commerce announces 2009 Lantern Award Recipients

The Westfield Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the community of Westfield by recognizing outstanding businesses and citizens at its annual Lantern Awards. The 2009 Lantern Awards will be held at The Palomino Ballroom on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 26.
The event is open to the public and begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. A silent auction will also be offered. Tickets are $50 for individuals; corporate tables are also available. Reservations are required by Sept. 14, 2009, and may be secured by calling the Chamber at (317)804-3030.
The Westfield Chamber is pleased to announce the 2009 Lantern Award Recipients.
The 2009 recipients include:
* Business of the Year, Lantern Award – Anytime Fitness, Kirk & Nancy Lawrence.
* Citizen of the Year, Beacon Award – Tenna Pershing.
* Volunteer of the Year, Wick Award – Kurt Wanninger.
* Outstanding 2009 Service Organization – Westfield in Bloom.
* City of Westfield, MICEE Award – Bruce A. Hauk, Deputy Mayor.
* Westfield Public Works, STAR Award – Michael Haemmerle.
* Westfield Fire Department, Leadership of Servitude Award – EMS Division Chief Pamela Taylor.
* Westfield Police Department, Above and Beyond Award – Lieutenant Mike Seagrave.
* Westfield Washington Schools, Shamrock Excellence Award – Dr. Robert Habig.
