Food Bank

Alex and I made a donation today at the Food Bank. What was really neat is we got to put it away and I really enjoyed watching my son be involved in this. As I was passing one of the aisle that he was putting food away he was humming. And he would come tell me where I needed to put things. A nice lady by the name of Debby was the only person working to get it ready for the distribution today for families at 3:30. She asked me my name and I shared with her how we heard about the mission. And when I told her Hinkle Creek Church she stated that their has been a huge out pouring of donations from our church. She showed us the piles of corn that Bev had shared with them. How proud I was to say I was a member of such a giving church. As Alex and I walked down each aisle we took note of things that they either had none or just a hand full. I have included this list of anyone is interested in donating these items. As we were leaving a little guy about the same age of my son walked to us in the parking lot and asked when the food pantry was open. He said he was their to get food for his family. I pray today stays with my son.

That is wonderful that you both got to see that and participate! We will be taking items over next week. They are so grateful to our Church for our support of this valuable ministry. I'm glad Alex got to be a part of that.
