Thank You All!!

Recently I have been facing some very hard times in my walk with Jesus Christ. I was almost forced to leave Hinkle Creek Friends, my school, and my family.

During the bad times i realized that a person can't try to fix things on their own, but rather they should go to GOD for everything.

My Dad recently moved back here to Indiana from Arizona, and was a big block in my walk with Christ. He was an Atheist and found my faith to be very disturbing. Eventually it began to drive a wedge between my Dad and I. Soon enough I began to resent him for living, and being my Father. After a while all of his criticism went to my heart. I thought about suicide. However, some very good friends and family talked me out of it. I began to read the Bible, and pray that my Dad would be delt with in a way that he could leave my life and I wouldn't have to see him ever again.

This past Friday, I was shocked by a surprise visit from my Dad. I found out that he was done living in Indiana and was leaving for Arizona ASAP.

I believe that the trouble that I went through was a huge test from Heaven. I will return to Hinkle on Sunday, August 23, 2009.

Thank all of you for your prayers!

Jaxon - remember I told you a little while back that you were one of God's kids now? This proves that God is looking out for you. But, I do want you to still love your Dad and never give up on him. Always continue to pray for him and God will honor that too. We love you and are so proud of you and can't wait to see you at Church!

I am so happy that you will be returning Jaxon. I have been through somewhat similar circumstances in my journey and I know it can be a truly unbelievable test of faith. But your faith in God has restored you and strengthened you and is continuing to shape you in your walk. But we must remember that we cannot waiver in our devotion and that we must stay diligent in our study and prayer. Speaking of which, now you can come back to bible study! I hope to see you at Tim and Heather's on Wednesday, if you can make it. We are studying the Gospel of Mark and so far it's been a great topic. We are so happy to have you as a member of our church family!
