Highlights from IYM Sessions:

*Over 200 attended the Feast of Faith on Saturday night where attendance award winners were Long Lake, Dewart Lake and Van Wert meetings.

*Becca Clouse was recorded as a minister of the gospel in IYM.

*Westfield and Hinkle Creek were granted monthly meeting status. Welcome to our two newest meetings!

*The 2012 program assessment will remain at $75 per member. The missions goal will also remain at $75 per member.

*There will be a new system for receiving missions contributions in 2012. Undesignated missions money sent to the yearly meeting will be proportionally distributed to a list of “tier 1” projects. An expanded list of “tier 2” projects will also be listed and meetings are encouraged to support them through designated giving.

*We will offer to host the 2014 FUM Triennial.

*Fort Wayne Friends Meeting had terminated their affiliation with IYM in 2010. The discontinuance of this meeting was approved.

*The possibility of a new Hispanic Friends Church in Logansport was reported.

* A large group from Iglesia Amigos sang at the Feast of Faith to the delight of all!

*A few of the notable guests at IYM this year included: Isaiah Bikokwa, Charles Kataka Luvale, Maurice Simiyu Muhkwana, and Elijah Mwavali Vieliza, all from Kenya. We were also graced with the presence of David Dawson, President of Earlham College; John Whittaker, President of Union Bible College; Michael Williams, Superintendent of Central Yearly Meeting; and Eden Grace, FUM field staff in Kenya.

*Twelve meetings nominated members who received “Certificates of Recognition” in honor of outstanding service in their local meetings.
