Hello Everyone!
I just thought I 'd let everyone know what's up with the Communications Committee these days and give you a status update on the directory. Our committee has been looking for ways to get the word out about the school of prayer and we are utilizing the free events calendars that a few of our local newspapers provide. And Melanie Martz has graciously offered to take fliers around town to local businesses to be displayed.
We are always taking submissions for our monthly newsletter. If you have something you'd like to submit please email it to me at haemmertime1@aol.com If you are the chairman of a committe a committe update would be awesome too. It seems like sometimes our committees work is not made known to the congregation unless they attend Monthly Meeting. This would be a good way to make everyone feel apart of the church and maybe even peak interest for committe nominations for next year.
So, about the directory, it's still not done. It's just going to take a while. It's a pretty big job and it's something we are trying to put together as we find the time. Pray for us!
As always we are looking for new and better ways to improve and expand our on-line presence. We have the blog, facebook and our website. We would like to have the blog and the website work as one in the future. That is our goal. We are working on ideas and a list of wants and needs for a new website idea. If anyone has any input we would be glad to hear it.
If anyone has computer expertise or grapphic design talent, please let us know if Communications committe would be something you'd be interested in helping out with.
If you are on a committee I just want to remind you that our committee is here to help you with any of your projects that you need help "getting the word out" about.
I want to thank Pastor Stubbs for helping us stay focused and realize our goals this year. It's going fast and we still have a lot of work to do if we want to accomplish all we've set out to do! We feel so fortunate to be a part of a church where Jesus is the leader. Knowing that we serve a loving God who cares about all we say and do makes all the work we do a joy!
God Bless you!
Kelly
