HINKLE CREEK SUNDAY SCHOOL - REBORN!!!!
Christian Education has been meeting and are deeply committed to re-establishing our Sunday School Program! LONG past due!!! We will begin on April 15th offering classes for all age groups! We have teachers lined up for all classes. Melanie Martz will be teaching the teens, Elissa Forrestal and Michaela Haemmerle will teach the grade school age, Shirley Gray and Dee Prater will have the toddlers, and Chuck Stout will have the Adults. Here is the plan which we are returning to that Hinkle established and went by for many years in the past. We will begin at 9:30 and end at 10:15. Sharon Griffith will be the Sunday School Superintentant and Elissa Forrestal will be the Sunday School Secretary. They will sit at the Clerk's table to end the Sunday School hour giving announcements, recognizing birthdays, and recognizing Sunday School attendance. The secretary will go from class to class and collect the attendance records and offerings and all money from Sunday School will go toward purchasing curriculums for the various classes. I realize it has been a long time since we have been in the habit of coming to Church at 9:30, but in order to make this successful, we all need to be involved in being part of this ministry. It is an awesome responsibility that has weighed heavy on my heart for many years to offer education in the "Word" to the various age groups of our Church. This will give the children opportunity to learn songs and scripture on their level and help us to all to grow in the Word together. I will ALWAYS remember and cherish my days of Sunday School at Hinkle and those teachings have never left me. I am very proud of the excitement that the Christian Education Committee is showing in this effort and I ask that we all support them in this endeavor to make it a success! Please pass the word! So many parents ask me if we offer Sunday School for their children and thus far I have had to turn people away because we don't. I feel it is time we offering what is so desperately needed in our community! If any of you would like to make yourself available to be an assistant so our teachers do not get burned out, it would be greatly appreciated. This is EVERYONE'S ministry. It's refreshing to see some of our young people wanting to get involved.
