Christmas, by Conner

I love Christmas when everyone's about, throwing snowballs and shouting out loud.
I also love the food and the cards we get.
On Christmas Eve Santa comes and brings us presents to play with and to have fun with.
Sometimes there are movies, posters or clothes.
Sometimes we get electronics or just plain old toys.
But Christmas is really about spending time with family and having fun with friends.
On that special day people come together to remember Jesus as the one he is.
For what he has done for us.
He will still be our Lord if we are pure or not.
Whether we are in the snow or by the fire, baking cookies or eating Christmas food we all know who will be there for us, our Lord.
And the people who have passed away or we didn't get to meet, no matter what we will be watched over
and kept safe.
But spreading cheer and having fun, looking at the Christmas tree, playing with toys and sitting by the fire, no matter what, IT IS CHRISTMAS!
Whether we are down, whether we are happy, it is Christmas and that's what it is, a time of love, a time of cheer a time of anything, it's still here.

You did such an outstanding job writing this Conner. I'm really proud of you and was so proud the way you read it at the candlelight service. Great job!
