We had a whopping 128 families including 5 new ones. We had 28 volunteers on Tuesday which was wonderful but only 34 on Thursday. We really need more volunteers on Thursdays especially from 5-6pm. We are desperately in need of at 2 volunteers for our kids room. We need someone who loves children and would like to read a story or supervise a movie time with the kids. There are many kids in and out and we really need some adult supervision. If you are thinking about volunteering, please let me know.
We were happy to be able to give out many refrigerated items including 1/2 gallon milk, a meat item, frozen spinach or yogurt. Many families got a Little Ceasers pizza. In addition to their groceries and bread and sweets, each family received 5# flour and many got fresh tomatoes.
Our most needed items this week are canned meats, peanut butter and jelly, canned corn, cereal, oatmeal, poptarts, pancake mix and syrup, fruit juices, shampoo and conditioner (we would like to have 1 shampoo and conditioner for each family this week.)
Thanks Dawn for making grilled cheese sandwiches all summer. This past week 130 were made. This will be the last week now that school is in session.
bLESSINGS,
Kim DeMasie
