Tomorrow there will be no lunch provided for workday. We just have not heard from enough people as to who may be coming.

If you can think of anyone who may not know about the meeting tomorrow at Westfield Friends with IYM at 3:00 please give them a call.

Please continue to pray for everyone who is helping with the restoration of the old Meeting house, those on the prayerlist & for all of the newly formed committees including Ministry & Oversight. Pray for our youth, our Sunday School teachers and our Pastor and his wife and remain prayerful always that anyone who is seeking God in their lives find their way to the little white church on the hill.

PRAYER FOR FAVOR

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you through Jesus Christ, my personal Lord and Savior, asking that you send the Holy Spirit to descend upon me.  Ease any worries that may come my way.  Father, you said not to worry about anything but instead to pray about everything and to tell you, my Heavenly Father and Jehovah Jireh, my Heavenly Provider, what I need and desire. Philippians 4: 6

Lord Jesus, I need your wisdom and understanding from on high.  Your word guides and instructs me not to be tired and discouraged.  It tells me not to give up so that I will be able to reap your bountiful blessings in the appointed time.  Galatians 6: 9

Lord, you said if a man needs wisdom to ask you and you will gladly tell him and not resent the asking. Lord, I am asking.  I need your wisdom and understanding.  I expect to hear from you. Your word says that those who have doubtful minds should not expect to hear from you, Lord. So I come to you, Father, filled with hope and expectations of the great work that you are about to do in me, for me and around me.  I am not doubtful.  I am hopeful that you will hear my prayers and show me your favor.  I come asking that you keep me strong and unwavering as I wait for you, my Lord.  James 1:5

My dear Heavenly Father, hear my prayers.  You are my strength and my salvation.  Teach me and help me to be mindful and joyous in all things. Give me the steadfastness of Habakkuk.  Take my eyes off of the difficulties I may face and focus my all on you, Lord.  Habakkuk 3:17-20

Lord, I believe that all things are possible with you. Your word tells me that there is nothing too hard for you; that what is impossible with man is possible with God.  I put my faith in you, and you alone, Lord. Your teachings have taught me that I can pray for anything and if I believe I will have it. Lord, I believe that you are the Son of God and that you, Jesus, died for my sin although I am not worthy. I believe that all things are possible with, in and through you, My Lord Jesus Christ.  Hear my prayers now, Lord. Mark 11:22-25

Lord, I know not to put my trust or my faith in man but in you alone. I trust your wisdom. Jesus, you instructed us to trust in you with all of our heart and not to depend on our own understanding.  I trust you with every fiber of myself.  I seek your will and purpose in my life.  Now direct my path, O Lord.  You already know my needs.  Help me not to worry.  Keep me focused on you as El Shaddai—my All Sufficient, Everlasting Source. Proverbs 3:5-6; Matthew 6:32-34

Lord, you said to keep asking and it will be given; keep looking and I will find it; to keep knocking at the door and it will be opened.  Lord, I have been knocking, looking and asking for your wisdom, guidance and understanding to get through these obstacles before me; to bring me to my place of destiny in you. I am your child.  Lord, open this door and let me pass with blessings and favor from your mighty Hands straight from Heaven above.  Father, rain down your favor on me.  Let it be such a downpour that I can not contain it all.  Let it spill over onto your children around me.  Matthew 7:7-11

Lord, give me the faith of the Roman soldier who asked you to heal his servant--to know that if you say it is so then it will be.    Father, do not look away from me and cast me into darkness.  Instead show your favor strong in me as only my Lord and savior can.  Matthew 8: 5-13

Lord, I cry out to you to answer my prayers quickly.  Answer me, Lord!  I am desperate for you and you alone.  Please do not turn from me.  Show me my next step, then the next and the next and the next…  Never stop lighting my path.  Give me eyes to see, feet to step, mind to obey, hands to do, heart to submit and love.  Give me all the details of what to do just in time to do your will, Father.  Allow me to move forward in my quests to glorify your kingdom with blessings, favor and firm footing in you, my Lord.  Psalm 143:7-10

Lord, I know we can never avoid the strife we encounter in life.  Come to me as my Jehovah Shalom, my Lord of Peace.  Blanket my mind with your peace—not peace of this world but the perfect peace from your Heaven as I move forward in your Holy Name in quests for your kingdom.  Strengthen, encourage and embolden me to cross any obstacles in my path, Father, not in my strength but in your strength and your strength alone.  Isaiah 26: 3

Dear Lord, Bless me!  Show me your favor. Keep your hand with me and increase my territory. Let no evil touch me or my ordained work for your kingdom.  1 Chronicles 4:10

Send your messenger, the Holy Spirit, to help me in all of my endeavors.  As I move forward in you, let my life be a testimony of your faithfulness, mercy and grace.

I pray this prayer in faith and in the name of my Lord and Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen

Mike & Bob

Mike has pneumonia. He went to the Doctor on Saturday and has been on Antibiotics since. He is no better. He is in a lot of pain still. I am asking for prayer for Mike please.
Please pray for Bob too as he has not been feeling well either and I know they are both tired of not feeling well. Since I can't go home and pray all day I am asking everyone to please join me in prayer.

Psalm 139

1 You have searched me, LORD,
   and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
   you, LORD, know it completely.

Matthew 28:20 (King James Version)

20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

My Devotional

I received a very nice Devotional Book as a gift and I thought I'd share today's devotional with you. It's taken from Matthew 28:20; Psalm 139:1-4

"I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, These were the last words I spoke before ascending into heaven. I continue to proclaim this promise to all who will listen. People respond to My continual Presence in various ways. Most Christians accept this teaching as truth but ignore it in their daily living. Some ill-taught or wounded believers fear (and may even resent) My awareness of all they do, say, and think. A few people center their lives around this glorious promise and find themselves blessed beyond all expectations.

When My Presence is the focal point of your consciousness, all the pieces of your life fall into place. As you gaze at Me through the eyes of your heart, you can see the world around you from My perspective. The fact that I am with you makes every moment of your life meaningful."

This was meaningful to me today and hopefully will help all of you today as well.

sad news

Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.

Prayer by Thomas Aquinas

Give us, O Lord, steadfast hearts, which no unworthy thought can drag downwards;
unconquered hearts, which no tribulation can wear out,
upright hearts, which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside.
Bestow upon us also, O Lord our God,
understanding to know Thee,
diligence to seek Thee,
wisdom to find Thee,
and a faithfulness that may finally embrace Thee.
O God, Help Us
A Prayer Attributed to Wallace Fridy

O God, help us
to be generous in our opinions of others,
to be considerate of all we meet,
to be patient with those with whom we work,
to be faithful to every trust,
to be courageous in the face of danger,
to be humble in all our living,
to be prayerful every hour of the day,
to be joyous in all life's experience,
and to be dependent upon Thee
for strength in facing life's uncertainties.

IMPORTANT MEETING SATURDAY

Dear Friends,

We are moving toward our first important step in joining Indiana Yearly Meeting. We were officially released from Western Yearly Meeting effective December 31,2010. We will have that confirmation in hand this week to turn over to Indiana Yearly Meeting. They are meeting with Westfield Friends for the same purpose on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.. Since we are ready to move forward, they would like to meet with us on Saturday as well at Westfield Friends Church at 3:00 p.m.. This is a very important meeting shaping our future. If you can at all fit it in your schedule we would like to have a good representation of our Body. I apologize that this is such a late request, but details about our withdrawal came late and rather than have Indiana to set another date to meet with us, it just makes sense that we do this while they are nearby and are prepared to meet with us. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Well, it seems like the more we do the more there is to do! Saturday was certainly a productive day, thank you to everyone who came up to the church to work.  Thank You Bev for the delicious lunch you brought us. It is so rewarding to spend the day up there working. I've missed our Church and I just love having the whole day to spend there. Next Saturday will be another work day to start at 8:30am. I think Bev has offered to bring in lunch again. I believe this week we will be getting estimates and hopefully ordering the lighting and carpet. Please come next Saturday if you are able. Update on Kelsey Stewart

As you know I have, several times, asked for prayers for my friend Kelsey. Kelsey had surgery to remove a brain tumor and is now undergoing treatment. One of the medicines he is taking makes it very hard for your body to heal. Because of this, the scar from Kelsey's surgery has not healed properly and he is going to have surgery tomorrow. Please help me pray for Kelsey and his entire family.
Thank You,
Kelly

Bible Study Cancelled

Bible study is cancelled tomorrow night, Tuesday, January 18, 2011.

An Evening Prayer

This is an old song which is in our old hymnal and the words kept coming to my mind today. They really speak my heart and it has a message on how I feel today.

"If I have wounded any soul tody, If I have caused one foot to go astray,
If I have walked in my own willful way, Dear Lord, forgive.

If I have uttered idle words or vain, If I have turned aside from want or pain,
Lest I offend some other thru the strain, Dear Lord, forgive.

If I have been perverse, or hard or cold, If I have longed for shelter in the fold,
When Thou has given me some fort to hold, Dear Lord, forgive.

Forgive the sins I have confessed to Thee; Forgive the secret sins I do not see;
O guide me love, and my keeper be, Amen. "

Forgive me if I have ever offended anyone through any posts I've made on here or any harsh words I may have spoken. It was never my intention to offend anyone, so if I did I ask you to forgive me. I love all of you too much to hurt anyone.

Bob

Take a moment and listen

Happy Birthday!

FYI

Good morning!

I just wanted to share something interesting with all of you this morning. If any of you got one of the old tin panels from the Church, Paulette discovered that the color on them is not at all what it appears. She took some lestoil and cleaned ours and it revealed the most beautiful butter cream color on that tin! The color they are now is actually DIRT!!! Once you clean that off, it was just amazing to see the true color of them revealed. Thought you all might want to try cleaning yours to see that beautiful color under the black dirt. Also, I received a call this morning from FEDEX and our new tin ceiling has arrived and will be picked up either today or tomorrow! How exciting!!!

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."
Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)
We are creatures of habit, aren't we? Whether those habits are beneficial to us – or even if we regret them time and again – we tend to repeat the same behaviors day after day:
  • We light another cigarette, even though we just said yesterday we want to quit.
  • We eat the brownies in our pantry, even though we're aiming to lose weight in the New Year.
  • We camp in front of the TV for hours most evenings, even though we want to be the kind of person that goes for walks and reads novels instead.
  • We leave things laying where we last used them, even though we long for uncluttered surroundings.
  • We buy a new Bible, figuring that will propel us to get in the Word more. Two weeks later it sits on the shelf.
We want to be the person God calls us to be, so we use January to make New Year's resolutions about how we're going to change this year. We give voice to that longing in our hearts to be different – to be somehow better. And we decide to give a heart-felt go at changing.
And there's nothing wrong with that. On the contrary, it's a move in the right direction. However, the Bible advises us to check our plans against the Lord's, and then ground our commitments in His truth and power in order to succeed.
Remember this, for the Holy Spirit to facilitate God's work and purposes in us, He must first (re)define our definition of reality, and our priorities.
For example, say that you wish to spend time in God's Word in 2011. Great – that's God's will for you as well. For that to happen, your habits must change. And for that to happen, your perception of reality must be redefined.
I'm guessing you currently believe, and your current actions demonstrate, that you don't have time to really pursue God like you want to. You're convinced you're too busy to join a Bible study, or have a regular quiet time of prayer and Bible reading, without quitting your job or neglecting your family in the process. But is that true?
"God has given everyone enough time to seek Him. It is there," says Francis Frangipane. He continues, "Those who would find God, find time." "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1, ESV).
When a favorite TV show comes on, we find time to watch. When a favorite store announces a big sale, we find time to go. When a friend wants to meet for coffee, we make time to meet her. We find or "make" time all the time! So rest assured that if you live a healthy, God-honoring life, there is plenty of time there to grow in your knowledge of, and connection with your Creator.
It is true that in our busy lives we cannot do everything. But we can choose which things absolutely will get done. We can choose what to do first. And that's precisely what the Bible tells us to do. Jesus calls His followers to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and then He promises we will have all we need (Matthew 6:33).
It is also true that our willpower is limited. Our dedication wanes. Our intentions are good but our follow-through is shaky. We don't have what it takes to revolutionize our entire lives. But God does — and He lives in us. "By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence" (2 Peter 1:3, NLT).
You absolutely have time to spend 10 or 20 minutes a day getting to know God and His promises for you in His Word. You also have the extra eight seconds it typically takes to put an item back in its place. Watch one less TV show a night and you'll have created time to read three or more books every month, and take a brisk walk after dinner. Seek God first – time after time – and you'll even have the power you need to put down the brownies or cigarettes.
We are creatures of habit – let's make it our habit in 2011 to seek God first each day and commit our plans to Him. I think we will marvel at the results, time and again.
Dear Lord, today I seek Your face, wisdom and Your will. I give my plans to You and I ask that I may operate in Your power. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

MARTHA BARNES

Just wanted to let everyone know that Sharon Griffith's mother, Martha Barnes passed away about 6:35 this evening.

We all need to keep Sharon and Denny and Pat and Butch in our prayers. You always think you are prepared for it, but when it really happens, it's a whole different story. I remember so well going through that as I know many of you have as well. Martha knew me the last time I was there and she told me she loved me and that just meant the world to me. Our families go back many years and it is sad for me to see this generation pass.

I know all of you love Sharon and Denny as they have done so much for Hinkle and are part of our Church Family, so they need us right now.

Martha will be creamated and her service will be at a future date once Hinkle is finished. She had requested her funeral to be held at Hinkle where so many precious memories are there and was a huge part of her life growing up not to mention her rich Quaker Heritage and family roots there.

If you read this Sharon - may God be with you in a special way in the days ahead.

Six Boys And Thirteen Hands...
Each year I am hired to go to Washington , DC , with the eighth grade class from Clinton , WI where I grew up, to videotape their trip. I greatly enjoy visiting our nation's capitol, and each year I take some special memories back with me. This fall's trip was especially memorable.

On the last night of our trip, we stopped at the Iwo Jima memorial. This memorial is the largest bronze statue in the world and depicts one of the most famous photographs in history -- that of the six brave soldiers raising the American Flag at the top of a rocky hill on the island of Iwo Jima , Japan , during WW II.

Over one hundred students and chaperones piled off the buses and headed towards the memorial. I noticed a solitary figure at the base of the statue, and as I got closer he asked, 'Where are you guys from?'

I told him that we were from Wisconsin . 'Hey, I'm a cheese head, too! Come gather around, Cheese heads, and I will tell you a story.'

(It was James Bradley who just happened to be in Washington , DC , to speak at the memorial the following day. He was there that night to say good night to his dad, who had passed away. He was just about to leave when he saw the buses pull up. I videotaped him as he spoke to us, and received his permission to share what he said from my videotape. It is one thing to tour the incredible monuments filled with history in Washington , DC , but it is quite another to get the kind of insight we received that night.)

When all had gathered around, he reverently began to speak. (Here are his words that night.)

'My name is James Bradley and I'm from Antigo, Wisconsin . My dad is on that statue, and I just wrote a book called 'Flags of Our Fathers' which is #5 on the New York Times Best Seller list right now. It is the story of the six boys you see behind me.

'Six boys raised the flag. The first guy putting the pole in the ground is Harlon Block. Harlon was an all-state football player. He enlisted in the Marine Corps with all the senior members of his football team. They were off to play another type of game. A game called 'War.' But it didn't turn out to be a game. Harlon, at the age of 21, died with his intestines in his hands. I don't say that to gross you out, I say that because there are people who stand in front of this statue and talk about the glory of war. You guys need to know that most of the boys in Iwo Jima were 17, 18, and 19 years old - and it was so hard that the ones who did make it home never even would talk to their families about it.

(He pointed to the statue) 'You see this next guy? That's Rene Gagnon from New Hampshire. If you took Rene's helmet off at the moment this photo was taken and looked in the webbing of that helmet, you would find a photograph..a photograph of his girlfriend. Rene put that in there for protection because he was scared. He was 18 years old. It was just boys who won the battle of Iwo Jima . Boys. Not old men.

'The next guy here, the third guy in this tableau, was Sergeant Mike Strank. Mike is my hero. He was the hero of all these guys. They called him the 'old man' because he was so old. He was already 24. When Mike would motivate his boys in training camp, he didn't say, 'Let's go kill some Japanese' or 'Let's die for our country.' He knew he was talking to little boys.. Instead he would say, 'You do what I say, and I'll get you home to your mothers.'

'The last guy on this side of the statue is Ira Hayes, a Pima Indian from Arizona . Ira Hayes was one of them who lived to walk off Iwo Jima . He went into the White House with my dad. President Truman told him, 'You're a hero' He told reporters, 'How can I feel like a hero when 250 of my buddies hit the island with me and only 27 of us walked off alive?'

So you take your class at school, 250 of you spending a year together having fun, doing everything together. Then all 250 of you hit the beach, but only 27 of your classmates walk off alive. That was Ira Hayes. He had images of horror in his mind. Ira Hayes carried the pain home with him and eventually died dead drunk, face down, drowned in a very shallow puddle, at the age of 32 (ten years after this picture was taken).

'The next guy, going around the statue, is Franklin Sousley from Hilltop, Kentucky . A fun-lovin' hillbilly boy. His best friend, who is now 70, told me, 'Yeah, you know, we took two cows up on the porch of the Hilltop General Store. Then we strung wire across the stairs so the cows couldn't get down. Then we fed them Epsom salts. Those cows crapped all night.' Yes, he was a fun-lovin' hillbilly boy. Franklin died on Iwo Jima at the age of 19. When the telegram came to tell his mother that he was dead, it went to the Hilltop General Store. A barefoot boy ran that telegram up to his mother's farm. The neighbors could hear her scream all night and into the morning. Those neighbors lived a quarter of a mile away.

'The next guy, as we continue to go around the statue, is my dad, John Bradley, from Antigo, Wisconsin , where I was raised. My dad lived until 1994, but he would never give interviews. When Walter Cronkite's producers or the New York Times would call, we were trained as little kids to say 'No, I'm sorry, sir, my dad's not here. He is in Canada fishing. No, there is no phone there, sir. No, we don't know when he is coming back.' My dad never fished or even went to Canada . Usually, he was sitting there right at the table eating his Campbell 's soup. But we had to tell the press that he was out fishing He didn't want to talk to the press.

'You see, like Ira Hayes, my dad didn't see himself as a hero. Everyone thinks these guys are heroes, 'cause they are in a photo and on a monument. My dad knew better. He was a medic. John Bradley from Wisconsin was a combat caregiver. On Iwo Jima he probably held over 200 boys as they died. And when boys died on Iwo Jima , they writhed and screamed, without any medication or help with the pain.

'When I was a little boy, my third grade teacher told me that my dad was a hero. When I went home and told my dad that, he looked at me and said, 'I want you always to remember that the heroes of Iwo Jima are the guys who did not come back. Did NOT come back.'

'So that's the story about six nice young boys. Three died on Iwo Jima , and three came back as national heroes. Overall, 7,000 boys died on Iwo Jima in the worst battle in the history of the Marine Corps. My voice is giving out, so I will end here. Thank you for your time.'

Suddenly, the monument wasn't just a big old piece of metal with a flag sticking out of the top. It came to life before our eyes with the heartfelt words of a son who did indeed have a father who was a hero. Maybe not a hero for the reasons most people would believe, but a hero nonetheless.

We need to remember that God created this vast and glorious world for us to live in, freely, but also at great sacrifice

Let us never forget from the Revolutionary War to the current War on Terrorism and all the wars in-between that sacrifice was made for our freedom...please pray for our troops.

Remember to pray praises for this great country of ours and also ..please pray for our troops still in murderous places around the world.

STOP TODAY and thank God for being alive and being free due to someone else's sacrifice.

God Bless You and God Bless America .

REMINDER: Everyday that you can wake up free, it's going to be a great day.

One thing I learned while on tour with my 8th grade students in DC that is not mentioned here is . . that if you look at the statue very closely and count the number of 'hands' raising the flag, there are 13. When the man who made the statue was asked why there were 13, he simply said the 13th hand was the hand of God.

Great story - worth your time - worth every American's time.  Please pass it on

BIBLE STUDY CANCELLED

I just consulted with Will and we decided to cancel Bible Study tomorrow evening with the pending snow storm coming in. Chances are that the parking lot would not be plowed out and the snow is to continue into the evening. So, to keep everyone safe, we thought it was best to call it off this week. Please pass the word!

- Jesus Calling By Sarah Young

Good Afternoon to all! Here is something for us all to Read and share with Others: "Practice trusting Me during quiet days, when nothing much seems to be happening. Then when storms come, your trust balance will be sufficient to see you through. Store up for yourself treasure in heaven, through placing your trust in Me. This Practice will keep you in My Peace."

Martha Barnes

I just got back from seeing Martha and wanted to let you all know that her time is very near. She is in a lot of pain, but they are trying to make her as comfortable as possible. Please pray for God's Mercy and His Timing in all of this. Sharon, Pat, and Butch certainly need our prayers as they go through this rough time. My heart goes out to them having to endure watching their Mother in pain. When I hear anymore, I'll post an update.

Bev spoke with Peggy this evening and she is home! What wonderful news! Bev said she sounds good and is happy to be home and is in no pain. Thank You Lord Jesus for watching over Peggy! Thank You Bev for this wonderful message of good news!

Friends

We all have a lot to be thankful for and to look forward to. There is a need for continued prayer for one another and for the future of Hinkle Creek Friends. I know we are all anxious to get back home to our place on Hinkle Road. Much graditude and respect is felt for the members of the Trustees and for all who have come together on the project of rebuilding this church. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the legacy that is Hinkle Creek Friends. I for one am looking forward to Spring and coming home. This our 175th year as a meetinghouse in Hamilton County. I Praise God for his faithfulness and I am so thankful for everyone who loves our little church on the hill.

A Message from our Trustees

The Work Day which was originally scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) has been postponed. Next Saturday, January 15 is the newly scheduled Work Day. Details to follow! Thank You!

Thank you!

Peggy Jennings

Just wanted to let everyone know that Peggy's surgery is over and it was a success. She had a masectomy and the doctors feel that they got all of the cancer. She is in recovery as I write this. Praise God!

Jesus Calling

"You can achieve the victorious Life through living in deep dependence on Me. People usually associate victory with success: not failing or stumbling, not making mistakes. But those who are successful in their own strength tend to go their own way, forgetting about Me. It is through problems and failure, weakness and neediness that you learn to rely on Me."

Martha Barnes

Just to let everyone know that Martha was moved to the 4th floor at Riverview and is now under Hospice Care to make her more comfortable. She continues to deteriorate in her condition.

A Few Updates

1. Bible Study tonight - Paulette has not had time to cook, so we are bringing mac n cheese (store bought), a blueberry pie, iced tea, and coffee. Heather cannot come, but is sending Teriaki Chicken with Tim.

2. Property Trustee's Meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Church. All drywall is up and they finished sanding it today. The ceiling tin has been ordered and should arrive in approximately 2 weeks. New doors on the south side of the Sanctuary are being purchased and the glass will be put in the new ones. They will be a 6 panel type door to go with the decor of the church. Also the doors coming in from the foyer will be replaced and stained which will also be 6 panel doors. All of the trim will be stained dark to match the railings and wainscoating that is up front around the stage area. A dimmer switch will be put on the candle lights up front so they can be dimmed down during use therefore making it easier on our eyes.

3. Martha Barnes is in grave condition. She has a lot of fluid built up in her body and is having a hard time breathing and talking. I went up to pray with her and loved on her and had a good visit talking about eternity. Decisions are being made by the family as to what to do at this point with her condition and care.

4. Reminder - Ministry and Counsel Meeting will be held tomorrow evening at 6:30 in the Church basement. All members are encouraged to be present.

5. I have a funeral near Mitchell, Indiana on Saturday and will need to leave on Friday evening to stay overnight down there, so this makes it impossible for me to prepare a sermon for Sunday. I've asked Will Bussell to bring the message this Sunday. I'll be there to play the piano and help where I can. Just too many irons in the fire this week to get everything done. Hope you all understand.

Please Pray for Martha Barnes & Family

Just wanted to let you all know that Martha Barnes is not doing very well at all. She only has one kidney and it has stopped functioning. Her health is deteriorating and some decisions need to be made by the family on Monday morning. Please hold them all in your prayers as they go through this struggle. I will go and be with them tomorrow at the hospital and keep you updated.
