EASTER SUNDAY FOR CHILDREN

Just wanted to let you know that there will be an Easter Egg Hunt immediately following Services on Easter Sunday. So, let the children know so they will have something to look forward to. The eggs and candy were graciously donated for this event. The kids really enjoy this special time and I think the adults enjoy watching them as well. Please pass the word!

EASTER

I just wanted to remind everyone that Easter Sunday will be at a different time. There will be NO Sunday School that day and the service will start at 10:00 a.m. rather than 10:30. This will give families an earlier start on their family gatherings for Easter. PLEASE INVITE someone to attend Hinkle on Easter Sunday! This could be the start of another new burst of attendance for us.

Thank you for helping us restore our historic church building by purchasing fresh, frozen homemade pies from Dan’s Pies of Syracuse, Indiana. Dan's Pies were made famous at Quaker Haven Camp and have been enjoyed at many Friends gatherings across Indiana. You can select from seven of Dan the Pie Man's delicious pies. All pies measure 9", are frozen, and ready to bake. They are guaranteed to last up to 6 months in the freezer, but may keep longer. Prepaid orders are due by Sunday, May 1. Our first Sunday back!

Yesterday was amazing! I was so excited that I didn't even take a single picture! The weather was beautiful and it just felt so good to be back home on Hinkle Road. I noticed that when the wind blew through the sanctuary, the tiny bell on the little chapel on the clerks table was swinging back and forth.

What a relief to finally be back where we want to be. It was a major project and it was all so worth it. It has felt that all along that God was with us and guiding us. We did our best to work hard and work together and we did it. Working on the meeting house and restoring the building felt like a calling. I want to say thank you to all of the Trustees for all of their hard work and especially to Denny Griffith for all that he has donated to this project, time and materials. And thank you to everyone who brought food! The lunches were great every Saturday! I will miss them. I just keep thinking about Sunday and how it went. I know Bob and Paulette had to be exhausted, relieved and excited all rolled into one. Thanks to both of them for their leadership through this time. Their experience and patience really helped see us through. God is faithful! Yes he is! How many times can I say how fortunate I feel to be a part of Hinkle? Not enough, I guess. Seeing such a big project through like we have is certainly a wonderful experience for all of us. Working together like we have is truly a testimony to our commitment to the church, to God, and to one another. It shows the appreciation we have for each other and for those that came before and those that will follow. Sunday was wonderful. There is still a lot of work to do up there, but we made it back home and that is where we want to be, where our hearts our. It's a special place. It just is. It means a lot to a lot of people. Homecoming this year is really going to be a great celebration! I just hope I can remember to take pictures!

Urgent Prayer Request!

Most of you know Derrek Foster. His mother is having life threatening issues right now and desperately needs a touch from God. Last I knew, Derrek's mother was hospitalized, and her sugar is 600+. They almost lost her. Please, keep Derrek, his mother, and the rest of the family in your prayers. Derrek is counting on his friends (you) to back his family up in prayer.

Welcome Home!

Dear Friends, Please pass the word that we will be back at Hinkle this coming Sunday, April 10th! After much work (and still more to go), the Sanctuary is ready for us to worship in this coming Sunday! Great appreciation goes out to Kay Hartley for making Cicero available to us during this time of renovation. We are looking so forward to coming home and I sure hope to see all of you there on Sunday! The piano will be moved on Tuesday and tuned on Friday. That is the last thing to move from the Cicero location and we will finally be home! Thank you for all of your patience during this long awaited 7 months! Believe it has been worth the wait! Bob

Thank you God for showing me something so sweet today and touching my heart. It reminded me that all my prayers are so small and that you think and bless us bigger than we can even pray. Thank you for the reminder that have my heart where it needs to be in your hands. You love me and you will love me more than I even know how too.
